Question
I recently bought a 2001 Ford Explorer XLT SUV, there is a light in my dash that blinks saying "Theft",,does this mean my vehicle is equipped with anti-theft,,I did not receive a Fob, I had to go to the dealer to get fob to unlock my doors but they told me my vehicle didnt have THEFT? Then why does the light blink saying THEFT?

Answer
They are incorrect.
This vehilce actually came with 2 systems.
One is the PATS (Ford's passive anti theft system) and the
key has a chip for immobilizer. That's whey it cost so
much for a key. The other is a noise generating,
headlight flashing deterent.

They are both standard issue, or OEM systems.
I'd go elsewhere if I were you.
