Question
I just bought a used 2005 DOdge 2500 Diesel pickup from a dealer.  On the dash, just left of the steering column is an approx. 3/4" x 1" black box with a red button and red diode.  When I push the button the light flashes, but nothing else apparently happens.  The dealer thinks it might be some kind of aftermarket theft alarm.  I can see it is connected to the key switch.  Got any idea what it is and where i can get information on how to use it?

Answer
On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.

Good luck there.
