Question
2003 chevy tahoe theft deterrent problem. on the dash is a lock-out emblem and no power to start.key entry does not work unless inserted into key switch. vehicle will not start.does have power to electrical devices.theives entered the tahoe and the vehicle anti-theft device is not permitting starting operations.how do i correct problem?did replace battery.no help.it did drain replacement battery though.need procedure to correct anti-theft device. thanks

The only way this module can perform the bypassing
of your PASSLOCK system, is if the engine can currently be
turned over. If the engine does not start, this module will not
solve your issue, There are NO REFUNDS on ANY bypass
modules purchased from ALARMTEK, so please be certain your vehicle
can start, even intermittently, prior to purchasing.

The Bypass module needed for your make/model & year vehicle is the
IM-IB-PLJX - GM Self Learning (ALL TYPES) Passlock Override.
The IM-IB-PLJX bypass kit is an auto learning override module
designed to bypass all GM vehicles equipped with Passlock I ,
Passlock II, VATS. It's designed for remote starting.

"Can't currently turn over the engine?"

You can attempt to put the key in the ignition,
turn it on to just before cranking and then leaving
it that way for 10 mins. After that,
some PASSLOCK systems will re learn the code
and allow for starting & module programming.
But if not, the system will need to be seen by
GM to reprogram the PASSLOCK system in your vehicle.

Now at this point, if the engine does start,
this is the perfect time to interface the
IB PLJX bypass kit before you can not
start it again and need to tow it to the local
GM service department.

So, to sum up, if looking to bypass this car's PASSLOCK system
completely, you will need the IB-PLJX module and instead
of using a remote starter (-) output-(brown) to trigger it,
you will use this input and go to the body of the car.
Once grounded out, PASSLOCK can not re engage
until you remove the ground. This will do the job required.
Labor time is under 1 hour if done by a reputable car alarm
installation technician.
