Question
My 2004 Ford Ranger pickup just recently will not start and the antitheft symbol keeps blinking on the dash. I have tried both of my manufacture keys with very limited success. It may start once in a while after 10 or more tries. Is there some way to bypass the antitheft device or do I have to go to the dealer and pay the big bucks?

Answer
Sorry to be the barrer of bad news.
The PATS lost it's codes and Ford will need
to reset it for you. Bring both keys
to the dealership. It's likey they will need
to inspect the ignition tumbler for a fault as well.

Not always the best news here, but true
none the less. :>(

Good luck.
