Question
I bought this malibu a week agao. While sitting in the car the alarm activatwes. You donthear a horn beep but the security light blinks as soon as you turn th ecar off. Also you cannot unlock the doors from the switch on the door. It has to be done manually. I've read the post and i think i have a bad bcm? Im leaning more towards a fuse or something but im not sure. I di notice my dome light is out, would that also cause a  problem with the pass lock?

Answer
I think you might be correct.
This does sound more then a bad passlock sensor.
I'd have GM run a code diagnostic to pin point it
for sure.

Mose passlock system issues do not lock out
mechanical door locks etc.. and have little
to do with the dome light.

Have this inspected.

Good hunting.
