Question
When I bought my car about a year ago they only gave me one key and one remote and wanted to purchased a new key and remote. I was wondering I the key had to have a transponder to work?

Answer
If you mean, do you need a second key to bypass the Chevy
PASSLOCK system in the 02' Cavalier, the answer is no.
But you do need the correct kit to get this done.

See the PLJX bypass kit at www.GMPASSLOCK.com
& purchase it for the proper bypassing of your PASSLOCK.

Have a nice day.
