Question
i have a 2005 ford Taurus  i got a remote starter put in which sometimes just keeps turning the engine over without starting and i have to get in and use the key to stop it from turning over but the key works to start it. its happened 3 times now, enough so i don't want to use it so it don't burn out the starter

Answer
The remote start is either not recognizing the tach wire or,
the ignition wires are incorrectly installed.

I strongly suggest you re read the tach section of
the manual & go back over the work and make
certain all programming that the
unit requires to remote start properly.

Good luck.
