Auto Theft Prevention/2003 Factory Alarm Malfunction

Question
Hello,
the factory alarm on my '03 cadillac escalade is malfunctioning. The passlock light will come on and stay on for days. Sometimes the truck will start sometimes it won't. When it will not start, I have to wait 10 minutes for the alarm to reset itself. I have spent as long as 2hours waiting for the alarm to reset itself. (while trying every 10 minutes to restart it.) The local cadillac dealership here, says that they can't find a problem with it. Would I be better off, just disarming the factory alarm and purchasing a viper or something similar? Please help.

Answer
Hey , I get this one a whole lot
(as you probably have read.)
This is the most asked question these
days and yes, there is a solution that
will not cost you an arm and a leg.

Of course, & unfortunately, yes this
vehicle has a the PASSLOCK II key
based engine disabling system that is waring out,
& or is damaged is some way. The troublesome device is in
ALL 98+ GM vehicles, and yours is no exception.
To get around this, you will require a
GM PLJX bypass module to circunvent it and
KEEP IT THAT WAY!

A bypass is required to interupt PASSLOCK for
remote start applications. It is done by
grounding the system to allow it to start,
then re establish it for security usage.

This Passlock Bypass Module is designed to provide
a proper coded pulse to open the fuel rail
passlock injector cut off circuit.

The output from an alarm/remote starter
would then shut down the pulse, once it has detected
the engine has engaged, and preserve the integrity
of the passlock system.

That is it's designed purpose.

This is a self learning, resistor sensing
and self adjusting module. Once the VATS/PASSLOCK
wires have been tapped,
you would press the program button to learn,
and it does. The car should then allow start
with any hardware store key.

The 1 stipulation is that this module MUST SEE
the engind RPM rate to program it. That's the only
way you can get this to do what you are attempting
to do. Once bypassed, PASSLOCK is not a problem
any longer.

A good technician should be able to install
this module in under an hour.

if you want to buy yours now,
or, go to the site link below to learn more
about your truck's system, and buy the
appropriate unit there.
