Question
I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 first year Gen 3 and I'm trying to find out if it has a electronic or mechanical lock for the steering column so I can find out what keyless ignition system I want to install.
Don't really know what that has to do with an

after market keyless system? :>( Odd question actually.
Never had that one come up.
This truck has a single wire, resisted negative type door lock
system and will require some expertise to install.
See attached picture of the application you would need to install REGARDLESS of which keyless entry is installed.
Has nothing to do with the ignition mechanics or, electronics
when it comes to keyless entry.
