Auto Theft Prevention/Factory Alarm Issue?

Question
I have a 2002 Dodge Neon SXT. It has a factory alarm system with a keyless entry. Recently, the red alarm light will come on while I am driving, sometimes all the dash lights (gas, battery, etc.)will briefly click on and the car will lose power for just a quick moment. Then my doors will lock or unlock. This does not happen all the time. It seems to happen when I brake. Could this possibly be a fuse issue? I am going on vacation in a week and I want to make sure I will not be left stranded. Thank you VERY much! Jennifer, PA
Take it to Dodge first for evaluation.
It appears the ignition transponder sensor
may be going bad. If it does not recognize
the key, then you may get stuck.
Sorry, but if it does go bad, you will likely be stranded.
Have them check it out.
