Question
The dealer told me that the security alarm will not sound unless the vehicle has been entered, i.e. broken window, door forced open.  The alarm will sound if you are in the vehicle and open a door when the system is armed.  Is this really how this "Alarm" system works?

Answer
There are a couple of "security" devices in the vehicle,
but yes, as far as an "alarm" these are the most basic
of systems. There is also a transponder security
chip in the ignition so you need those keys to make
it start.

But as far as interior/exterior protection, your
best bet is to add an after market system to the
mix for a more enhanced security "feel".
(2 way paging, shock impact sensor, remote starter etc...)
Alot cheaper then you are offered at the dealership
and they do alot more.

I hope this helped some.

Good luck with yout new ride!
