Question
You answered a similar question on 6-24-07 regarding the anti-theft blinking and in our case the vehicle will start and shut off instantly. We try it a few times and it eventually works or we jump it off and it works. But the problem is tiresome. HAve you seen more questions along these lines with regards to this model of Expedtion and how can we fix it without paying the dealership $85 just to look at it and tell us what's wrong. (I imagine the costs to actually repair could be quite high). I read your thougths or bypassing or disarming and am not comfortable installing the bypass module (key-in-a-box) you suggested...I don't think. Any way to unplug or disarm it?

Answer
No afraid not.
The only way to bypass the PATS system is
1. you have both coded ignition keys.
2. you have either the key in the box type, or
the the 555fw bypass kit. (see link at www.fordpats.com)

Short of going to the dealership and getting it serviced,
those are the only ways I am aware of.

Good luck.
