Question
I read about the passive anti-theft by using a computer chip in the ignition key.  Does the 2008 GMC Sierra have this type of key to help in theft prevention?  Trying to keep my truck from being stolen and th echip in the key seems like the best way.  Thanks.

Answer
No don't worry about an add on starter kill device
on your truck. It is the new GM PASSKEY III and not easy to
circumvent it. they would need to tow it.

You should add more protection on
monitoring and reporting someone trying to steal
what's IN THE TRUCK.

Have a look at www.CARALARMZ.com  www.STARTBYREMOTE.com
to actually outfit this one for the best security to
add on.

Good luck.
