Question
I just installed the Cool Start RS-4 in my 2000 F-150.  The motor turns over but will not start unless the key is in the switch.  I cannot find the green/purple wire to the factory alarm disarm.  Can someone tell me exactly where this wire is in this model truck or how I can determine which wire that I need.  Is it in fact green/purple?

Well, it is a dark green/purple wire in the harness
coming out of the drivers door.

But that's not your trouble.

This is not the factory noise generating,
headlight flashing alarm causing your vehicle
not to start. It's the Ford PATS system.
This truck has it and you need the PKFM bypass kit to
remote start it.

The PATS is a transponder in the ignition that cuts off
the fuel rail unless the proper coded key,
or bypass is present.
