Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 9/14/2009

I recently installed a K9 Sombra alarm system in my 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser.  I've been experiencing weird issues about the Unlock portion of the alarm.  The Lock function works flawlessly with the alarm arming, but the Unlock portion will only work when one of the doors is already open!  When all the doors are closed, the Unlock function does not work with the alarm disarming.

I've verified that the wire I'm using to unlock the power door locks does work by directly grounding the wire.  I've tried to isolate the alarm from the door lock with a relay thinking there's some weird current flow...it still does the same thing.

I thought that maybe I hooked up my door trigger to the wrong alarm wire.  The reference I used indicated that my vehicle has a (-) trigger for the doors, so I hooked up that wire to the (-) trigger wire of my alarm.  Seems to work in that the alarm does sense when the door is open or closed.

I've verified with my multimeter that the unlock wire from my alarm is in fact giving the negative pulse that my door locks need, so the brain of the alarm system seems to be working fine.

Am I missing anything else?  Thanks!

That's because you have 2 door unlock wires and are
only using one.

blue/yellow & blue/orange are those wires, both
are required and they need to be diode isolated
to make it work.
