QUESTION: I have installed an Excalibur System on the above vehicle with the PLJX module. We cannot even get the remote start system to crank the starter. I have soldered all connections, verified my main leads for the remote start itself but get nothing. We do see the Parking Lights come on upon pressing the button and I have verified my two main power leads have current on the RS. I hear the relays engage like it wants to start but other than that nothing is happening. We even made certain that the internal alarm was turned off by unlocking the doors. Is there something that you think I could be missing? I am beating my head against the wall with this thing.

ANSWER: Sure. Getting the correct bypass kit would be good.
The PLJX won't work on this truck. Don't know
who or where you got it from, but it's the wrong kit.

Can not work on anything other than GM cars and trucks
that it's firmware and designation states.

The one you need for the Rouge is the
IM07- Immobilizer bypass - Programmable Platform#07:
CAN Bus High Speed Interface
Firmware: PKN3 4.02

This Immobilizer bypass is a programmable
High Speed CAN Controller platform
designed to interface with vehicles equipped with a
High Speed Controller Area Network.

I sell them here for 99.95 but regardless of where you
buy it, it's the one needed for your project.

Take out the PLJX. Could cause damage.

Good luck.

QUESTION: I am sorry, I had PLJX on the brain from something else. We are using the DLPK from Xpresskit.

ANSWER: Not programming at all?
Odd. Any flash of the light?

If not, may be a fault box.

QUESTION: The box is programming up the way that it should. It really goes pretty fluid through the steps. I even went back and flashed the box with the newer firware which usually is something we have to do. It was 14.01 and we brought it up to 14.02.

Answer
Try it again, but this time, zero out the power first.
All of it, even discharge the capacitors by touching the undone
cables from the batt to the frame. Then
reset and try it. Something is not communication
from the Excalibur to the bypass kit.

Check the (-) disarm output on the excalibur
to for validity.

A.
