Question
I bought a remote start for my 2005 chevy impala, I took it to best buy to see how much they charge for installation they asked me all kinds of questions, then they told me that i need i think a bypass module to access the cars computer. do i really need it or they just trying to pull more money out of me? also where do you recommend to install the remote start for cheap?

Answer
They are correct to ask. Tough car to do.
You will need a bypass kit and a door lock module.
There are combination kits like the XK09 unit,
but to answer you inquiry, yes these items
are needed to install a remote starter into
an 05 Impala.

Don't go cheap here. You're bound to GET cheap
too.

Good luck.
