Question
i just baught an 01 intrepid from a police auctione and had to replace the key cuz it didnt come with one  and it wont turn over, i think it may have something to do with the alarm. the LED light isnt on though. could this have to do with some one trying to steal the car or maybe disarming the alarm (looks like  someone messed with it), its been sitting in my drive way for 2 weeks and ive spent 1400 on it. i need all the help i can get.

Answer
You are correct.
It appears that the transponder in the
key and the ignition reader are not in scync.

This vehicle's security transponder likely needs to be
reset by Dodge and the new key you have programmed
correctly.

It's not as easy as simply replacing it.

Contact Dodge and have it towed there to complete
the procedure you started. They need to now reset
the transponder and match the key (s) to your car.

Good luck.
