Auto Theft Prevention/2010 Yukon Factory Alarm System

Question
QUESTION: Two part question (1) I have the factory Alarm/start System for the 2010 Yukon XL, I also ordered the extended range remote that shows status of vehicle (Tire pressures, mileage, status etc...) I was very disappointed when I found out it does not let me know if my alarm is going off. (Not sure who thought out the functionality of this system from GM, but I think knowing if someone is breaking into my vehicle would be higher priority than knowing what my mileage is remotely) Is there any remote pager system I could use in conjunction with this factory system that has a decent range?  (2) I travel a lot and carry a lot of gear to show Military & Police. I have a truck vault system installed. Since the access is only from the rear tailgate door, I was looking for an extra security measure to lock the rear hatch beyond the normal factory lock. I have the entire schematics for the vehicle (haven't had time to dig through the books yet) but was thinking if I installed a hidden lockable kill switch that will disable the solenoid to the rear tailgate & window, this may be the answer, otherwise it would be installing a manual lock on the back tailgate somehow. What would you suggest? I am mainly concerned while traveling and staying in hotels, many times I can arrange it so I park in front of my room, but not all hotels can accommodate this.

ANSWER: :>) Cool.
Well np, I can put together something tailored to
your particular usage and needs costing between 200.
& 275.00 .

If it's up to me, I would add the ASTRA 777
system to address the paging system issue.
1500 + feet paging range and does not have a remote
starter. This will work independently of the factory
systems.

Add the Auto Bolt system to the rear
tailgate & or doors, and you have a decent system to pick up
where the GM factory system leaves off.

That would protect the contents better than
allot of other methods I've seen, hands down.

See AUTO-BOLT at www.CARARMOR.com
and see the 777 at www.PAGINGALARM.com

Great way to do this without breaking the bank,
or making it more complex than necessary.

Let me know if I can send you a payment
link to include all parts & equipment
needed in the 10' Yukon.

QUESTION: yes, you can send me info for a payment link. Any suggestions on how to have the factory alarm let the remote pager know to page me? Seems simple, just need details.

I wouldn't mind doing extra Auto bolts in all the doors instead of just the rear hatch if possible.

Thanks

ANSWER: Ok then, on the 777, you will have 3 inputs for deterent zones.
1. Is the door trigger. This would detect any open
circuit on the common door triggers and report
to the pager as the door is open and closed (animated LCD).

2. The 777 has a plug in 2 stage impact/shock sensor.
This would detect vibration Low and Hi. A "warn away"
set of chirps if low, and impact would trigger it.
Both get reported to the pager.

3. This system will detect battery drain and trigger as well.

All by the correct placement of the 777 wiring,
which I supply all project notes after payment is
completed. ;>) No problem on the vehicle's own
system working in congress with this one.

QUESTION: I wouldn't mind paying a little more for better range on the pager. Do you have any recomendations for a unit with longer range? Several new alarms now have 1 mile range. I had two old Compustar systems in my last vehicles, they had great range, but had many issues with remotes. I want a reliable system with long range.

Answer
Now we are getting into remote starter combos,
and the range goes up to 2000-2200 ft range average.

But, be prepared to add 99.95 for the IM01 door lock/alarm bypass
module and approx 200.00 for something like the Galaxy 5000 rs 2 2way FM system.

If this is no trouble, then it can be done.
