Auto Theft Prevention/2008 F150 Remote Entry/Keypad Question

Question
I have a 2008 Ford F150 Supercrew with keypad entry and remote entry. Twice, I've found that someone has been in my truck during the night and I know it was locked. Nothing was damaged and I don't leave anything valuable in the truck. Is it possible to gain entry using the keypad or remote system without actually breaking in?

Answer
Yes it's absolutely possible. Someone who has a similar
frequency to yours can pop the lock
unlock easilly. Cheap systems usually have over lapping
frequencies since they sell so many. It's become
a common occurance to be able to open someone elses
truck or car using they're own remotes.

Best here is to add more deterrent that is independent
of the OEM system offered. In other words, add an
after market alarm/remote start system with code
hopping ability to enhance
what you have to combat this issue.

Wish I had better news, but that's the truth.
