Question
How can I bypass or reset the anti theft lock on my 2004 Chevy Silverado Truck?  Have disconnected battery, have new battery, locked and left alone for 15 min., locked by door and unlocked, nothing has worked.  Lights, radio, interior lights, and everything works, just will not turn over in any shape fashion or form, does not even make a noise and the anti theft lock indicator shows that the lock is not unlocked.  Is there a fuse or any way to by pass it so that the truck will turn over.  I am frustrated. Or is this a case of towing it to dealer.

Answer
The PASSLOCK system is in long tamper mode.

THIS IS YOUR situation.

It's likely you somehow breached the
PASSLOCK II system and it will need to be
reset and bypassed.

Good luck there.
