Question
I received a remote start for my 2009 malibu for Christmas. Any major problems to install before I start?

You have some issues here. This vehicle has the PASSKEY III system from
Chevy. A bypasss kit is required to remote start, and the door locks will
need to be done as well for the security.
The XK09 kit is suggested here. This will address those
issues and more. This kit is 99.95 and available in
my shop if you want it.
