Question
I just purchase a 2001 focus 5 speed from a tow yard. I am wondering if there is a way to bypass pats without going to the dealership or spending a small fortune to have new keys programed. I would like to be able to start my car with a normal key.

Answer
No, not to my knowledge. The key's are required.
And you need 2 of them if you want to bypass PATS
permanently after you get them.

The PKFM or the PKALL bypass kit would then
bypass PATS, and you won't need the programmed
keys, but you MUST get them first to do it.

Catch 22 I'm afraid.

Sorry bout that.
