Question
the alarm on my 2004 Dodge ram is going off. I didn't know that my truck had an alarm until now. I've tryed locking and unlocking the doors with the key, even unhooked the battery over night hoping that it would reset but didn't work ether. I have just a normal key NO CHIP what could it be.

Answer
This is a tough one to deal with.
The trouble is without the factory remote,
disarming it will require and after market
keyless system and the proper resistors
to make the doors lock, and the alarm
to arm and disarm. Problematic.

There is no other means we know of
save a whole redo of the door lock control.

If it has a siren, this would be after market
and a possible fix is available. If it's
horn honk & head light flashing, engine shut down
then it is factory and would need that remote
to control it properly.

Which is your situation?
