Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 9/14/2010

My alarm has stopped working, I have no instructions on it. I have an 04 Suski XL7,I had a mechanic checked all the wires and fuses have juice. The panic button works and the fad lets me in and out of the car.  However, the light inside does not turn on and you can thump the car all you want and nothing goes off.  I tried the valet thing and still nothing.  Called the dealer I bought the car from and they tell me it's an after market alarm and have idea what make or whatever, so they tell me I have to go to an alarm specialist place.  What's the deal on this, is there something I'm missing? Is there anything I can do for the existing alarm? This just started after I had the car flushed out.

Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.

It also may be in ovveride mode.
Then it's the same thing:

KEY ON, PRESS AND HOLD VALET UNTIL
THE SIREN CHIRPS AND LIGHTS FLASH.
THAT'S OVERRIDE/RESET
