Auto Theft Prevention/couger

Question
I have a 2000 mercury couger that my 18 year old daughters new dog has chewed the only key up for the vehicle. Is there anyway to bypass the PATS system to get this vehicle started and moved while I order the bypass kit?

Answer
I have your payment, which I will return.
The PATS system is not like the PASSLOCK.
The transponder in the ignition must have
the programmed resistance "chip" in the key to match
signal and allow for remote start. There is
no simple wire to ground out here. :>(

To date, the only way to bypass a locked down
Ford PATS is to get the replacement key done
immediately.

I wish there was some sunshine to throw down here
for you, but no, not the PATS. If the key head
still has the "chip" in it, you can remove it and
bondo it to the "reader" in the ignition shroud.
But if it was completely destroyed, then save your
money and energy right now. Get the car towed to
the neares Ford dealer to get a new set of keys
cut. Once that's done, I can sell you a PKFM bypass
kit and you can eliviate this PATS issue completely,
but not without those programmed keys.

Sorry I could not offer more.
