Question

Prestige Fob
My son just purchased a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder from an individual. The car came with a key on a pretty banged up Prestige APS92BT2CL fob (pics of front attached). We know very little about how to use this alarm.

The fob has two buttons and a red light. The button with one hash mark is used to unlock as well as lock the vehicle. We don't know what the other button (with two hash marks) does.

We did just learn that if you exit the vehicle and use the driver door lock to lock the vehicle - and then come back to the vehicle and try to use the fob by pushing the button with one hash mark, the alarm is set off.

1)Any general tips on how to properly use this alarm system or find a manual that would explain how to use it?

2)How would I go about purchasing a second fob as a back-up?
