Question
ok so my problem is this, with the keyless entry remote i can lock the doors unlock them and pop the trunk. when i bought the car the lock/unlock worked fine, a few seconds between button press and the lights flicking. the trunks however took several pushes of the button to pop it. now the unlock button makes the lights flick but does not unlock the doors. To me it sounds like my remote battery might be almost dead, but it seems kinda strange that the lights go but it doesn't unlock. any ideas?

Answer
I think you are correct. Change out the remote battery.
Then try to do the trunk release a bit diferently.

When wanting to "pop" the trunk, press and hold the button
for 2-3 seconds instead of a momentary push of the button.

That is how most all remotes use the AUX autpot to control
a trunk release system.

The door locks may not be working right because
of the low battery. Replace and try again.

Let me know if this helped.
