Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 4/4/2011

Question
I own a 2002 pontiac grand ame se 3400...My car was running fine . I parked it for about 2 hrs and when I got back in it it wouldnt start... battery was turning the car over but the engine wouldnt fire.... I sprayed starter fluid into the air box and the engine fired but it would not continue running. this lead me to believe that I wasnt getting any fuel. I listened at the rear of the car and could hear the fuel pump kick on. I replaced the fuel filter on my fuel line and sure enough it was shot but the car still wont start. I have been reading the forums on the passlock system and I do have a similar problem... my security light comes on but it does not flash and the car would still start.I did the trick of turning the key to the on position, let it sit and it shuts the security light off but the car has never not started.Im about to go buy new plugs and wires but do I need to ? any suggestions are welcome

I'm 95% certain it's the faulty sensor in the ignition
tumble for your PASSLOCK 2 vehicle. Very common for the
badly designed PASSLOCK 2 system in this years cars.
