Question
My 2002 chevy malibu stopped turnning on, i think it may be the theift system so i tried the 10 minute test, and it still would not turn on, so i tried it again and it started to kick, so i tried it again and still just kicking. should i continue to try the 10 minute test until it will start? is there something else that could be wrong with it?

That is the Classic complaint here. :>(

Your Vehicle Has The GM's PASSLOCK 2
fuel rail Immobilizer/cut off system.

The PLJX Bypass kit is going to be
needed to get around this safely.

It matches the resistance level in the key switch
and allows for the fuel rail to engage with any key
you choose to use. See details on the site @

I wish there was an easy way to magically get it to
work without it, but this is what we have available
short of paying GM a bunch of cash to reset
a system that will likely need it again, and again.
That's if you can locate a GM service dept.
in the next couple of years! :>(

I'd bypass it and go from there with an after market
alarm to pick up the slack. Then no GM PASSLOCK II issues to
worry about down the line.

Any good technician can install this item in less then an 2 hours.
