Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 9/18/2011

Question
I have a 1996 buick skylark.  The THEFT SYSTEM light won't go off and is shutting all gas to the engine off.  I pulled the main and other fuse out and put back in, I unlocked and locked both sides of the front doors with the key,  I unplugged the battery and plugged back in... in hopes it would reset the switch.  Is there a sensor that I can disengage under the dash somewhere.  I even blew on the box that the mechanics plug in to get the codes from?  Can I order a part at Advanced auto shops to replace the sensor and take to my mechanic?  My car has 159,000 on her.   
I have to go to a funeral next weekend in Florida.  Can you write me back as soon as possible.

to get you going and keep it safely offline.
