Question
Hi, ive got a 93 Mark w/factory security, it goes off at the worst time as Im sure they all do,the drivers door hinge is worn and sometimes the door doesnt close properly,I was going to disconnect the switch in the door latch but found it had already been unplugged??, How can I disconnect or remove it totally,is ther a wire that can be grounded like some other Ford products?, Thanks Andy

Gotcha.
Ok, normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
dk. green/purple |-| located in the drivers kick or,
at the factory security module located behind right
side of dash, near the right kick panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the OEM alarm functions entirely.
That'll take out the Ford/Lincoln Mercury
"OEM FACTORY" alarm system as long
as this wire stays securely grounded.

Then make repairs to the doors & pin switches or you
may have other problems then just a malfunctioning
alarm. You could end up draining the battery every
day from the open door/ajar circuits.

Done.
