QuestionQUESTION: My power to my car is 100% off. I have tried turning the key just before starting and pressing the red light spring reset button and nothing happens, I have tried this in every iginition position. I have tried to use the clicker, nothing. It did this same this a week ago and after doing something? the dash lights came on and I pressed the remote button and it started. No so lucky this go round. I also disconnected the negative battery terminal and reconnected hoping this would reset the alarm. Any way to just bypass the whole system and disable permanently? Why is it not resetting, is there a short or something?
This is my only car right now so I am walking until I get this fixed.
ANSWER: It's not the alarm if there is 100% power loss sir.
I suggest you look at the charging system and the
fuses of the car. But mostly the alternator.
Bet that's the trouble.

QUESTION: The battery has full power, it will not jump off either. It did the same thing a week ago and I thought it was the alarm system that ended cutting off all power? but it may have been another issue and I got it back on messing with it and ended up resetting the alarm making me think it was the alarm system. If the battery is charged, I drove it today and cut it off, went back out to crank it up and there was no power, lights were not on, just nothing has any power yet the battery is charged. Any ideas?
AnswerIt's either the alternator is not charging the battery and needs to be replaced, or the battery is not holding the charge. But if it was the alarm, it would affect the starter if a relay was on it, and that's it. It would not cut off power totally. So this is power source related.
Check all battery cables and
check and change any grounding cables it has too.
Tighten and or replace.
