Question
My driver side door key does no longer disengage the alarm. Anytime I open that door the alarm goes off, even if I have been driving. Also this seems to be draining the batter if I happen not to drive fr a few days. Is there a breaker I can disconnect to disengage the alarm and, I would guess, take care of both these problems at once?

As youn know, the factory alarm works with the locks.
Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
green/white |-| located in the drivers
door harness.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.
