Question
I had to disconnect the battery for a repair job and I made the alarm made and it will not let me start the engine. I haven't used the alarm for years. To make matters worse I do not have the remote key entry button anymore and my valet toggle switch broke off. The alarm was put in by the dealership when I purchased the car. I don't mind just cutting a wire to kill it.

Help,

Joe

Answer
Then either you need to get a new toggle switch,
or remove and repair, cause alarms are not
that easy to disconnect. If they were, what would be
the point in the first place?

I'd say get over to a local shop, get an new
valet switch, and reset it if at all possible.

However...

If it's GM's passlock II system (entirely possible)
then go here and see what you need to do:

www.PASSLOCKBYPASS.com
www.PASSLOCK2.com

Good luck.
