Question
i have a 99 jeep Cherokee and the immobilizer has shut the car down  can I bypass it with one of the bypass kits out there to get it to run again?  if so do I need to add a remote starter?
Just don't want to have  it towed into the dealer if at all possible .

Answer
There is one and it's a bit pricey at 75.00 +s&h,
but it does bypass and allow for starting this
one without the key. I carry them on special
3 day order here. What these do is instead of providing
a momentary (-) pulse from a remote starter,
you would put this lead to the chassis to terminate
the transponder & chip reader.

In other words, yes with some labor, this
is doable without towing.

If you wish to order it, write to me

Good luck either way.
