Hi there,
I have a viper 550 ESP alarm installed on my wife's 2000 Toyota Celica. It was working fine for the first few years then all of a sudden the arm/disarm stopped responding correctly. I had to pressed the button repeatedly (over 15 times) before the alarm would respond correctly. I can't quite remember if both the transmitter stop working together at the same time or if the backup worked for a little bit.

Anyway, I recently try to reprogramming the existing transmitters. However, I'm not sure if I did it correctly, because the problem was not resolved. The instructions I found on the web were quite confusing. I  then decided to delete the transmitter (channel 10) and reprogram the transmitter. I don't think I was able to do that correctly, because the transmitters does not respond now.

Now I have 2 problems:
1- The car alarm will not go off when I first enter the car when I try to switch it to valet mode.
2- The 2 transmitters still does not work

In addition, about a year after the alarm was installed the hood depression sensor broke. I currently unplug the cable to connects to the hood sensor. Back when the system was still functional, I was able to drive without a key when remote start was used.
