Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 8/22/2007

My 95 v6 4 runner has a commander security system -pdl-dome light keyless entry,also. the car doesn't do anything, no lights,buzz, just dead. THe floor toggle switch appeared nonfunctioning,it wouldn't stay on or off. I took it off and replaced it with a toggle I bought at an auto parts, larger but similar it rating. I attached the black and white wires and then the purplish wire, which i think might be an ignition wire, but I really don't know.
Nothing happened. Any advice on this would be sincerely appreciated.

I'd then get into the charging system. This does not
seem like an alarm issue. More about no power
then anything else.

check the alternator, batt cables etc...
All electronice depend on the basic system operating
properly. Yours does not sound like it's correct.

I could be wrong, but at least have it checked out.
