Question
QUESTION: Dear Sir,

I have the classic "battery died and alarm activated by itself" problem. I forgot to turn off my headlight and drained the battery. I jumped started my car and let it run to recharge, but when I switch off, the alarm goes off and refuse to start again.

This is what I have tried:
I couldn't deactivate the alarm with unlocking from driver's side door because my passenger side's lock is either loose or broken.

I've bought a keyless entry remote and only to told by dealer that I don't have keyless system in my car (although I could get into the "program mode". I also suspected the remote I got was broken. Also, is it possible that my car can get into "program" mode without a keyless system at all?

I look up your old thread on disabling the alarm with the valet button. I insert my key and switch to "ON" position and press it as soon as I could but it doesn't deactivate the alarm. It goes off after a few second.

I am totally going banana right now over this situation. The dealer told me it would probably cost under $200 to fix it, and I am just a student who doesn't have budget for that. Is there other way to permanently disable the alarm?

Thanks a bunch for your reply in advance. God bless you!

PLEASE TRY THIS AGAIN:
KEY ON, PRESS AND HOLD IN VALET UNTIL
THE ALARM RESPONDS (USUALLY 5 TO 7 SECONDS OR LESS).

Is this the procedure you used?

QUESTION: Thank you for your quick response.

Yes sir, I tried it again. It doesn't disable the alarm, the alarm simply doesn't response when I press the valet button (located inside fuse box), I tried with the key on, at "ACC" and at "ON" position.

Is there anything else you would recommend? Thank you.

ANSWER: :>( Hmmm,
sorry to hear it.

Well then, it's on to removal from
the factory wiring under the dash.

I would suggest you go to the local
Circuit City or Best Buy or any other
local installation shop for inspection/repair
or removal to solve this issue for you.

Good luck with it.

QUESTION: I would follow your advise if I could get my car to start. There seems to be an immobilizer attached to the system too. Anyway, I appreciate your help, you are the absolute best expert on car alarm without a question.

According to your old post, if there is a valet button then it most likely is not Nissan OEM Alarm, am I right about this?

I was wondering if most alarm system would come with a keyless entry system too?

Finally, are there an easy way to disable the alarm by cutting some cables?

Thank you.

Answer
It is an after market alarm Sir.
& yes, most after market systems include
keyless entry outputs,and more.
But if you can't control it, then you
need to extract it.

I suggest you aquire the wiring chart for the car
at www.wirewerx.com , then safely remove the alarm
system and repair the starter.

The valet is usually drilled into the plastic
panel to the left leg area somewhere.
But if you can not locate it, then move
on to taking it out and restoring your starter.

A.
