Auto Theft Prevention/auto locking on '98 Explore

Question
Is there a way to disable the auto lock feature on my Explorer? The doors lock when I start the truck. I hate this, and apparently I also have some malfunction where my driver side door does not unlock reliably (only the driver door) - so I have to sometimes climb out from the passenger side. Help!

Answer
It sounds like you'll need to have a technician
inspect this problem. Auto lock is usually an
after market alarm issue. Please take the
truck to someone locally that does car alarms
and stereo to have a look at it.

Best way really, since I can't look at it here,
and there are too many things that it coulb be
to simply guess at it.

Let me know what they discover.
