Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 12/14/2007

Question
My friend has a chrysler sebring 2001 and she was pumping gas and had the car on start. not turned on all the way but just on start so that she could watch the gage to the gas tank. when she got back in the car she saw her headlights on and forgot that the car wasn't actually all the way on and put it in drive. realizing it wasn't on she put it back in park. turned the key off and tried to re start it. now it wont start up at all. also when ever she tries to unlock the car from the drivers side an alarm goes off and the only way to get it to stop is to turn the car on, but since it wont start the alarm wouldn't start. the only way to get it to stop was to undo a fuse. this turned all the interior lights off and silenced the alarm. but as soon as she puts the fuse back in the alarm goes off. also when the fuse is out and she puts the key in the alarm goes off. we are guessing something with the alarm got messed up and now she cant start her car. please help. what do you think it is?

Please be more specific.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
