The prolock is nothing more than 5 wires, with a circuit board key that inserts into a slot.  This is a system that looks expensive, but is only a switch.  The "key" circuit board is has five connections.  The inner 3 do nothing, and connect to nothing.  The outer two just connect each other, the wires from these outer two are spliced into your starter wire from the ignition switch.  The inner 3 are all grounded together.  There are no electronics, relays or anything else, but a circuit that acts as a switch, oh, and it does have a light.
