Question
my engine turns over but wont start sometimes door locks lock and unlock randomly and i am unable deactivate or reactivate following procedure in owners manual
Ok, It appears you've reset the PATS.
The car does not recognise the chip in the ignition
key any longer.
The PATS (FORD'S PASSIVE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM)
needs to be reprogrammed I believe.
You can tow it to any FORD vehicle dealer
to have the service department re code it.
The trouble is in the ignition at the reader
probably, but Ford will need to determine that.
