Question
i recently purchased a 1994 impala ss low milage and the passenger side door handle has to be pulled on hard to open and the door acts like its sprung and this car has never been in an accident and is a very clean car what do i need to adjust to correct this problem?  thanks alot

Answer
The wind has caught the door at some point, and damaged the door/A pillar/hinges, or all three. Unless you think you can remove the door, and not do any damage to it putting it back on, I suggest you seek professional help. This problem an be a hairy one, and getting it back on, and not having wind noise or leaks is tricky. Then, it still needs to close correctly! I highly suggest hinge replacement, as well as hammering the A pillar back into shape. The door is surely going to need it's inner frame hammered back into the correct shape, also. Bill
