Auto body repair & detailing/1995 Firehawk

Question
I have a red 1995 Firehawk.  Ever since I bought it, it has had sun damage on the driver side front fender.  The clearcoat is bubbled and cracking off exposing the dull almost orange-ish red color underneath.  Also, small bubbles are starting to appear on the hood of the car.  What can I do to repair this and prevent it from happening in the future?

Answer
It sounds like it has a repair that is starting to fail. The only thing to do, is take it to a body shop and have them verify this. Hopefully, it's an isolated spot, and you can get away with only painting the affected  panels. If not, the entire car may be due for a paint job. The only way to prevent sun damage is to keep it well waxed, and out of the sun as much as possible. Bill
