Question
I am getting some pretty big rust holes on the bottom of the extended cab. I am going to cut them out and weld in some replacement metal but don't know what kind of metal to use? Thickness? I was doing research, I heard keystone has a replacement panel for that but have had NO luck what so ever finding it. Also, I just put a different bed on it so now the bed is black and the rest of the truck is teal. Should I paint the bed off the truck or blend it in? THanks!

Answer
You can find replacement cab corners on ebay. There are aftermarket panel companies in your area, I am sure, but I have no way of locating one for you. You might try calling a local body shop and asking where they ge all thei aftermarket parts, and if they will give you a phone number. don't call over lunch, or late on friday. This is a total favor in the eyes of the body shop manager, and if you call during lunch or a busy day like friday, you aren't likely to get any help. Paint the bed off of the truck You are going to be painting the cab corners anyway, so figure on blending the door out to get a good match. Teal isn't a very forgiving color in the paint match department. Bill
