Auto body repair & detailing/2001 ford windstar

Question
I have 2001 ford windstar minivan that bumped into a ford econoline.  Due to the fact that the econoline is higher it didn't just bump into it, the hood went under the bumper slightly.  It caused the tip of the hood to bend a little bit and pushed it back slightly causing the hood to be raised about a half inch higher.  Now the hood only pops if someone is pulling it out about a half inch when you pull the lever.  About how much would it cost to fix the hood it doesn't stick.

Answer
Without seeing the damage there's no way I can give you an estimate. I would recommend that you stop in at a local body shop and get an estimate from them. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but the price is really going to vary widely depending on whether the hood needs to be replaced or can be repaired and whether you're willing to use an aftermarket hood or a used hood or if those parts are even available in your local market. If you're going to be paying out of pocket and want to keep the cost down you may ask about a used or aftermarket hood and the price differences between blending and not blending and the possible drawbacks, depending on your vehicle's color. I hope this helps some.
