Question
What steps do I need to take to remove the old side moldings and replace them with new ones and where can I find stock moldings

Answer
Hello Robert! You can only find stock moldings at the GM dealer, and they only come paint to match, meaning they must be painted. To remove the old moldings is a pain. You need to gently pry up one edge of the molding, and basically pull it off. You can get it started by CAREFULLY driving a clean putty knife with a perfect blade underneath one end of it. To remove the adhesive tape from the body, you need a stripe eraser, and an eraser tool. It's basically a die grinder with a special arbor, and it runs at a specific speed so the eraser doesn't disintegrate. Use the tool to dig the old tape off the body, then remove any residue with mineral spirits. I really suggest having a pro do this, because by the time you buy a tool and erasers, you might as well pay someone to do it. Bill
