Auto body repair & detailing - 2002 dark grey toyota camry Got Keyed

Question
My car has gotten keyed both on the hood and the side doors....I am considering getting a new car soon so do not want to pay all the money to get it fixed, but dont want to drive around with the marks on my car is there a some kind of touch up paint that I can buy and apply to get rid of the scratches.

Answer
Hi Mike,

If you can feel the scratches with a fingernail then it will need to be either painted or have touch-up paint applied. If you can't you may be able to use a rubbing compound and buffer to remove the scratches. Be forewarned if you buff through the finish the only recourse is re-painting so be very careful with this step. You might also check the local phone book for Mobile Auto Restoration businesses that can come to you and repair the car. I'm not sure of the cost but I know they typically are quite a bit cheaper and quicker than body shops.
