Question
I have a '97 F-150 and the molding that is on the door was loose so I pulled it off.  What is the best way to remove the old tape, and reattach the rubberlike molding.

Answer
Hi Craig,

You'll need to use a single edge razor blade and some adhesive remover to get the old tape off. You will then need to use 3M double sided tape to re-attach. Here are some links that make help you:

When attaching the tape to plastic like the backside of the molding for example it's a good idea to use the 3M adhesion promoter pad to wipe the backside of the molding before applying the double sided tape. It does a pretty good job without it but this will give it optimum adhesion.
